Things I will miss about Chicago:
- Wiggly Field, a dog park (not to be confused with Wrigley Field, which I will not miss. Well, I won't miss drunken Cubs fans.)
- The ancient bulldog whose humans own a flowershop/restaurant around the corner from my soon-to-be former home. He's always lying on the sidewalk with his legs splayed out behind him. Very cute.
- Close proximity to Mars Cheese Castle and my sister's family (not necessarily in that order :)
- Lake Michigan (though I still laugh when people talk about going to the "beach" around here, being from Jersey shore territory)
- Living in Boys Town, especially on Sunday nights when Monday is a holiday (means lots of leather, mesh T-shirts, metal studs, cross-dressing, and lip-synching to Cher and Mariah Carey classics)
- Being comparatively good-looking (Chicago is one of the top 10 fattest cities in the U.S. Also, people here tend to be rather pale and squishy.)
- My friends and BJJ academy, of course
- Lying on my roof
Things I won't miss about Chicago:
- The cold
- The heat
- The humidity
- The dryness
- The regional accent
- The close proximity to not much besides Mars Cheese Castle and my sister's family
- The lack of mountains
- My old job
- Living at the top of 3 flights of stairs
